Vinificatie

Fermentatie in RVS tanks, 40 dagen, bij gecontroleerde temperatuur. Rijping in barique gedurende 24 à 30 maanden in kleine eiken vaten van 225 l. De wijn verfijnt verder op fles voor een 8 maanden.

92/100 Dark ruby violet hue. Dark leather, seal wax, mint, and blackberries on the nose, followed by pleasant earthy nuances. Tightly woven tannins and elegant texture on the palate, sweeping heartily across the mid palate, finishing with lovely fresh tones and with minimal dryness.

87/100 Aromas of espresso, toasted oak and tobacco lead the way. The concentrated palate recalls roasted coffee bean, toasted hazelnut and prune alongside grainy, astringent tannins and the heat of evident alcohol, but it lacks fruit richness. Kerin O’Keefe
